Velo Technologies Sdn Bhd proudly hosted Shanghai International Data Port Co. Ltd. at its headquarters and data centre in Cyberjaya on 20 May 2025 for the official signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement marks a significant milestone in fostering cross-border collaboration between Malaysia and China in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), biomedicine, and intelligent mobility.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Wang Jian, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai International Data Port, and Mr. Ben Chin, CEO and Founder of Velo Technologies, in a ceremony witnessed by distinguished delegates from the Shanghai Free Trade Zone Lingang New Area Administrative Committee, including: Mr. Tang Hao, Deputy Director in Charge, Mr. Zhu Feng, Deputy Director of the Commerce, Culture, Sports, and Tourism Department, Mr. Cao Yang, Deputy Director of the Data Department.
The event also featured a tour of Velo Technologies’ advanced facilities and data centre, underscoring both parties’ commitment to building secure, scalable digital infrastructure that supports next-generation innovation.
